The first Indie Beer Day in November 2019 saw thousands of drinkers raise a glass to support Australian independent business. With all the knocks small business has taken in 2020, we’ve moved it to July 25 to give indie brewers a much-needed boost to business. It’s a time to celebrate their resilience, survival and love for indie beer.

Last year was a hit with hundreds of breweries and venues hosting indie beer parties, getting mates together to say cheers. Even with social distancing measures are in place, we'll be celebrating (safely, of course) to show our support to local indie brewers, pubs, bars and bottle-shops.

Join us for a nationwide toast at 7pm (AEST). Raise a glass of your favourite indie beer wherever you are and say “cheers to indie beer.”

Look out for events, specials, and celebrations in taprooms, bottle shops, pubs, and bars. If you can’t get out, kick back home and enjoy a glass of your favourite indie brew. Just remember to toast at 7pm. If your favourite shop or venue isn’t doing anything, there’s no better time to Ask For Indie Beer.
